mwahahahahahaha. I play in the basement, 3 floors below the bedrooms, and usually with a full bridge mute.
However, your amazing talent makes me feel guilty and jealous. My viola deserves a more capable owner, though I love it to death so I won’t be giving it up. But still
I follow a couple of string players on here, and their posts about their instruments make me feel guilty, cause I don’t have enough time atm to devote to mine. So I shall go play now. Even though it is midnight :P

Mona, I *will* learn to play the schubert ‘sonata “per arpeggione” in A minor’ because an instrument as beautiful as you deserves a beautiful song, and the blood sweat and tears that accompanies the learning process of said song
Awh. :( That’s a shame. Violas have such a nice, velvety sound.
Yeah, I absolutely love the sound of the viola. However, the sound of beginner violins….

I don’t get why people would play the violin if they can play the viola instead. Like seriously, have you ever listened to a child practising on the E-string? If I was the parents or the child, I’d get soooo frustrated.
I know. I had the choice and wanted nothing more than to play viola. My brothers violin is just the worst thing. Not that violinists aren’t wonderful. They sounds fabulous when they’ve gained some experience. but that e string… oi
No violas. There were no violas tonight!
My little brother had a concert tonight. He’s in his first year of playing in his violin. I played with this program when I was younger. 7 years of viola in a public school program.
First up tonight was an orchestra. I think that there were two violas in the back. But. They didn’t have their own section. They were stuffed behind the cellos and the violins. NINE violin classes, one cello class, and two orchestras there were even four double bass players but no frikken viola classes. I’m convinced there weren’t even any violas in the second orchestra!
We do exist people! Viola players are out there! We just aren’t appreciated.
